What a way to start the 2016 Goodwood Revival weekend with the traditional Cricket match on the oval in front of Goodwood House.
With Brian Redman as one of the umpires, Derek Bell & Richard Attwood as the team Captains, plus many other stars it proved to be quite a good match.
Tiff Needell held Attwood’s “Freedie March” team to 88 at stumps in the first innings with a 25. – the players must retire once they get to 25 runs. However, Rob Huff hit three sixes (including the match winner) to score victory for Bell’s “Lord March” team qith a few overs to spare in the 22 over innings.
At 6 o’clock Spitfire MH434 performed some low altitude flyovers of the oval and house in somewhat of a ‘taste of things to come’.
